📘 Reading Tip: Boost Vocabulary with News Headlines

Reading headlines is a fast, effective way to expand your vocabulary and improve reading comprehension — especially for exams like IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC.

Practice Strategy:

1. Visit reliable news sites like News in Levels, BBC Learning English, or Reuters.

2. Read 3–5 headlines. Without reading the full articles, ask yourself:

•What is the main idea?

• What kind of story is this — news, opinion, science, or lifestyle?

3. Select 2–3 key vocabulary words. Look up their meanings, part of speech, and pronunciation using a learner’s dictionary.

4. Write your own sentences using these words in different contexts (not just copying the headline).

5. Bonus: Revisit the same article later and scan for how the words are used in full sentences.

✅ This method improves your ability to predict content, understand word usage in context, and recognize vocabulary patterns across different topics — all essential for high-level reading success.

🎤 IELTS Speaking Tip: Record Yourself to Improve Pronunciation

One of the best ways to improve your speaking for IELTS is to record yourself. When you speak, it’s hard to notice your mistakes—but when you listen later, you can hear them clearly.

Here’s how to do it:

1.Choose a common IELTS topic (e.g. “Describe your favorite holiday”).

2.Speak for 1–2 minutes and record yourself on your phone.

3.Listen and check:

Do you speak clearly?

Do you use good grammar and vocabulary?

Is your pronunciation natural?

4.Try again and improve your answer.

💡 Tip: Use free apps like [Voice Memos (iOS)] or [Easy Voice Recorder (Android)].

📘 Example IELTS topic: “Describe a book you recently read.”

The more you practice, the more confident and fluent you’ll become!
